BULLETS OVER BROADWAY

It opens with this "mock-moral" question: "Which would you save if you rushed into a burning building and could only save one: an anonymous human being or the only remaining copy of the complete works of William Shakespeare?" The result is a slick, art-deco production that has everything going for it. Nominated for seven Academy Awards. Dianne Wiest won for “Best Supporting Actress”.
